The details
A soft, roomy tote made by hand in Morocco. The front panel is cut from natural hair-on cowhide, and the sides, back and handles are made from supple cowhide leather, finished with antique-brass studs and buckles.
Inside, a soft suede lining protects your things, and interior pockets, including one for your phone, keep everything in its place. Roomy enough for the office, errands or a weekend away.

Care
Brush the cowhide gently with a soft brush, in the direction of the hair. Keep the bag away from water and long exposure to direct sunlight. Nourish the leather from time to time with a neutral leather balm, and store the bag stuffed with paper in a cotton bag.

Our story
Three generations around the same workbench
I grew up in my father's leather workshop, watching him work while my grandfather looked on and gave him advice. One day they helped me make my first keyring from a scrap of leather. It was a little crooked, but I was proud.
HandfulCrafts carries that story forward: pieces from our family workshop and from small partner workshops we know and trust.

Is it real cowhide?
Yes. The front is natural hair-on cowhide, the sides, back, base and handles are cowhide leather, and the lining is suede.
Does the leather have a strong smell?
No. Our leather is carefully tanned and finished, so it doesn't keep the strong smell sometimes found in traditionally made leather. You will only notice a light, natural leather scent, which softens with use.
Will my bag look exactly like the photos?
Not exactly, and that is the point: every hide is different, so the pattern on the front of your bag is unique. The shape, colour of the leather and finishes are the same.
What fits inside?
The bag measures 32 × 38 × 14 cm (12.6 × 15 × 5.5 in). A4 documents, a water bottle, a wallet and your everyday things fit easily, as well as most 13-inch laptops.
How do I care for it?
Brush the cowhide gently in the direction of the hair, avoid water and long exposure to the sun, and nourish the leather from time to time with a neutral balm.
