The details
Najma means “star” in Arabic, like the one embroidered by hand on top of every pouf.
A round Moroccan pouf made by hand in our family workshop, from goat leather. Each panel is cut and stitched by hand with contrasting cream thread, and the top is finished with a hand-embroidered star motif.
Use it as an extra seat when friends come over, as a footrest by your armchair, or simply as the warm touch that brings a room together.
Delivered unstuffed, like traditional Moroccan poufs: open the zip underneath and fill it with the sheets and clothes sleeping in your cupboards. It gives them a second life, and lets you choose how firm you want your pouf.

Care
When it arrives: take it out of its packaging and let it breathe for a day in an airy room.
Filling it: open the zip underneath and start with the edges, then the centre. The secret of a beautiful pouf is to be generous: the more you pack it, the rounder, firmer and more comfortable it becomes.
Over time: the filling settles with use. If it softens, simply add a sheet or a few clothes.
Care: dust with a soft, dry cloth. Keep away from water and long exposure to direct sunlight. Nourish the leather once or twice a year with a neutral leather balm.

The making
Stitched by hand, panel by panel
A star, like its name
Najma means “star” in Arabic. The top is embroidered by hand with a traditional star motif in cream thread, so no two are exactly alike.
Panels stitched by hand
Each goat leather panel is cut and joined by hand, with the raised cream seams that give the pouf its character.
A seat for one more
Pull it up when friends come over, rest your feet on it after a long day, or let it warm up a corner of the room.
Our family workshop
Made where I learned the craft
This pouf is made in our family workshop, the one where I grew up watching my father work while my grandfather gave him advice. Same gestures, same care, passed from hand to hand.

Your questions
What does Najma mean?
Najma means “star” in Arabic. We named this pouf after the star embroidered by hand on its top, a traditional Moroccan motif.
Why is it delivered unstuffed?
That is how Moroccan poufs have always been sold: empty, so they travel flat and safely. It also lets you fill yours exactly the way you like, and give a second life to the sheets, throws and clothes you no longer use.
How do I fill it?
Open the zip underneath and fill the edges first, then the centre. Old sheets, throws, towels, clothes or a cushion insert all work well. Our tip: be generous. A well-packed pouf is round, firm and lovely to sit on.
Is it real leather?
Yes. The pouf is made from goat leather, stitched and embroidered by hand.
Does the leather have a strong smell?
No. Our leather is carefully tanned and finished, so it doesn't keep the strong smell sometimes found in traditionally made leather. It has a light, natural leather scent: let the pouf breathe for a day in an airy room when it arrives, and the scent softens further with time.
What size is it?
Once filled, it measures about 52 cm (20.5 in) across and 32 cm (12.6 in) high: a comfortable height to sit on or to rest your feet next to a sofa or armchair.
Will it lose its shape?
The filling settles a little with use, which is normal. If your pouf softens, just open the zip and add a sheet or a few clothes: it will be round and firm again.
Will it look exactly like the photos?
Very close, once filled. Natural leather and hand embroidery mean small variations in grain, shade and motif: that is what makes each pouf unique.
How long is delivery, and can I return it?
Your pouf ships from France and arrives in 4 to 7 business days. You have 30 days after delivery to change your mind.
